We’re hosting a virtual speaker series and info session for our new Arts Leader programs!
When: Tuesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Zoom
ID: 873 6759 1661
Password: 536808
Our first speaker is arts professional Alan Greyeyes. Among his many accomplishments, Alan established the sākihiwē festival with the goal of making the arts more accessible to Indigenous families in Winnipeg. He also helped launch the Manito Ahbee Festival, the Indigenous Music Awards, and Manitoba Music’s Indigenous Music and Market Builder Residencies, among other projects.
After Alan’s talk, participants are welcome to ask questions and learn more from our MAC program consultants about this new program, designed to support building the capacity for leadership by individuals who identify as Indigenous, Black, and/or People of Colour, offered in partnership with the Winnipeg Foundation.
Can’t make it? Not to worry – a recording of the session will be available on our Facebook and YouTube pages afterward. Feel free to send us any questions you have ahead of time by e-mail or by direct message on any of our social media pages.
Don’t miss our next two Arts Leaders Speaker Series events as well:
- January 26 at 10:30 a.m. CST: Alexia McKinnon, Banff Centre
- February 3 at 12:30 p.m. CST: Allison Yearwood, Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art
