Deep Bay Residency Project

Residency dates: June 13 to 26
While at Deep Bay, Grant Guy will be developing his monologue based on the life and lies of Calamity Jane. For Guy, the characters of the Old West have reached mythological levels, and Calamity Jane is one of those characters that has been recreated over and over again, most recently in the TV series, Deadwood. Guy looks forward to a concentrated period of writing in an environment that can stand in for the Black Hills.
