About Judy

Judy’s first career was as a professional musician, working in theatre, dance and voice. Since then, her journey has taken her through a wide range of roles: from shaping the arts as Manager of Finance & Administration at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, to leading Folklorama and co-leading the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She now heads up her own company, Murphy’s Executive Leadership where she provides services in strategic planning, board governance, leadership coaching and team development to a variety of organizations.

Judy is a supportive and thoughtful partner, committed to helping others build sustainable organizations that create a meaningful impact for the community. A lifelong Manitoba resident, she is passionate about her province and its future.

She’s also helped organizations develop in her role as Practice Leader for Strategy and Governance at MNP. As President & CEO at Safety Services Manitoba, she led a not-for-profit organization totally dependent on earned revenue. She has consulted with not-for-profit organizations of all sizes.

Boards

Judy is currently the Chair of St. Boniface Hospital and Vice-Chair of the Reh-Fit Centre, having previously chaired the Governance Committee in both organizations. She has previously been the Chair of both the Manitoba and Winnipeg Chambers of Commerce, a Director and Committee Chair for the Crown Corporations Council of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Art Gallery Foundation and the Manitoba Centennial Centre Corporation. She was also a member of the Premier’s Economic Advisory Council.
