During the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Manitoba Arts Council received 1,418 grant applications and assessed the 1,326 applications which were eligible. Of these applications, 47% were successful. Applicants requested nearly $21 million, and the awarded applications totaled $12.03 million. Thanks to an increase in funding from the Government of Manitoba, MAC was able to award an additional $1 million to applicants.
In this report, we provide a breakdown of the applications assessed and awarded based on applicant type, granting program, and region. Next, we present a summary of applications from and awards to individual applicants in different priority and age groups. Lastly, we offer an overview of the composition of our peer assessment panels that reviewed applications during the 2024-2025 year by priority and age group.
