How to create your profile on MAC’s Online Application System

This is the first of three tutorials.

  1. How to create your profile
  2. How to start your application
  3. How to compete and submit your application

We’re going to walk you through how to create a profile on the Manitoba Arts Council’s Online Application System. So let’s get started!

Creating a profile on our Online Application System is the first step in applying for a grant at the Manitoba Arts Council (MAC). To do that, you can click on the “sign in” link at the top of the page.

This will take you to the landing page of our Online Application System.

Registration

Click on the “Register here” button.

There are three profile types:

  • applicants,
  • assessors, and
  • nominators

For today—we’re going to focus on how to register as an applicant.

You can either register as an Individual, a Group, or an Organization. Depending on which option you choose, you will be taken to a different page and a unique set of questions. Click on the link that applies to you.

After you select an applicant type you will be taken to the Eligibility Quiz.

Eligibility quiz

You’ll be asked to select from several different individual applicant types.

On this page, you can also click on a link to access the General Guidelines which has information about eligibility.

The red asterisks indicate a required field. You will not be able to submit your profile if any of these fields are left blank.

Contact information

After completing the eligibility quiz, you will be asked to provide your contact information. The email you provide will become your user name and must be unique to you—it cannot be shared with an organization or another person.

Check off all the artistic disciplines that you work within and where you are recognized as a professional.

Voluntary identification

At this point you will be asked to fill-in a voluntary identification section. This section is optional. The information you provide will be used to monitor how well MAC grants reflect the full diversity of our province.

Once complete, click, “Submit”. An error message will appear if you missed any required field or made any other errors.

If your submission is successful you will get a confirmation message.

Confirmation email

There is just one final step in the process! You will receive an email with your log-in credentials to the address you provided with your contact information.

Log into the Online Application System using your email address as your user name and the temporary password provided. You can create a new password if you wish.

Upload your CV or resume

The final step is to upload your current artistic resume/CV. Then click Submit.

Hearing back from MAC

MAC staff will review your profile within 5 business days. Once your profile has been approved, your account’s homepage will indicate which programs you are eligible to apply to.

If your profile is declined, you may contact MAC staff for information about eligibility requirements.
