Treasure is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, yoga teacher, and pranassage practitioner who hails from Winnipeg. As a dance artist, she performed for 11 years with the Ruth Cansfield Dance Company. She has also danced in the works of Karen Kuzak for TRIP Dance Company, Christina Medina for @tendance, Ali Robson, Brianna Stark, Rachel Browne, and in her own choreography. Her recent choreography includes In Sight Of and Ordinary Acts.
Residency project
Treasure will be working on her new dance piece based on the character and stories of Pippi Longstocking. During her residency, Treasure will be joined by dancer Ali Robson, who dances the role of Pippi. Together they will set off on daily adventures in the park to further develop the movement language and the character of Pippi.
