Residencies

Riding Mountain Artists’ Residency

This residency provides professional artists with time to focus on their work in the beautiful natural setting of Riding Mountain National Park.

The residency is housed in the historic Deep Bay log cabin, built in 1934, on the shoreline of Clear Lake. The one-bedroom, fully-furnished cabin is situated about two kilometres from the town of Wasagaming.

Artists are given the opportunity to get away from their hectic lives to concentrate on their artistic practice. The residency also provides opportunities to interact and share work with residents and visitors in the Riding Mountain area.

Available residency dates

June through September, two-week residencies

Note: The cottage provides a quiet retreat in spring and fall. Applicants selecting residencies in July and August should be aware that the beach and dock are used by boats and water-skiers, especially during the weekends.
