Peer assessment is the cornerstone of MAC’s granting process. MAC defines peer assessment as an evaluation made by an assessor, jury or assessment panel comprised of artists and/or arts professionals currently practising in a discipline relevant to the applications being considered. MAC uses the peer assessment process to award most grants. To learn more about this process, please read MAC’s Peer Assessment Handbook.
NEW ! Professional artists are required to submit a Peer Assessor Registration Form to the Manitoba Arts Council if they wish to be considered as a MAC peer assessor. Privacy legislation guidelines prohibit the nomination of other artists as peer assessors.
