Known as a “warm, melodious and emotionally generous soprano” (The Montreal Gazette) Marie -Josée Lord is an original voice. She has received many prestigious awards including Prix d’Excellence de la Culture, awarded by the Fondation de l’Opéra de Québec and was selected to represent Canada at the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Her first solo CD, with Orchestre Métropolitain, won a 2011 Félix award and received a JUNO nomination. She has performed in recitals and with many orchestras. Marie-Josée Lord, along with violinist Antoine Bareil, and pianist Hugues Cloutier, present their program Jambalaya – a spicy collection of audience favourites.
