VISUAL ARTIST

Shannon Leitch received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hawai’i and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Regina. Residing in Brandon, she continues to work in two-dimensional media. Shannon’s work has been featured in Honolulu Magazine and Studio Visit Magazine.

Residency project: During her time at Deep Bay, Shannon will be working on a series of mixed-media drawings titled Gathering Myself. Shannon will hike daily through Riding Mountain National Park, sketching and photographing the landscape. These images will provide the visual database for her series examining how an individual’s identity is shaped and influenced by their surroundings.
