Apply for a Grant

The Manitoba Arts Council is an arm’s-length agency of the provincial government dedicated to artistic excellence. We offer a broad range of grants and services to professional artists and arts organizations in all art forms. The following steps will guide you through the process of applying for a grant.

Read the General Guidelines

These are applicable to all artists, individuals, groups, and organizations considering applying for funding with the Manitoba Arts Council and are to be used in conjunction with specific program guidelines and applications. Click here for the General Guidelines.

Find the Right Grant for your Project

Contact a Program Consultant

It is highly recommended that you contact a program consultant before preparing your application. They can help you with questions about eligibility, what program best suits your needs, and your application. Find a Consultant by art form and discipline or by program area.

Complete your Application

Now that you know what granting program you are applying to you will need to download a program application with guidelines, collect your support material, fill and submit your application. Click here for a step-by-step guide to completing your application.

Report on your Project

If you receive a grant you must submit a final report at the end of your funded activity. You must send in this report before you can submit another application. Click here to download your final report form.
