Michael Boss – 2014 Deep Bay Artists’ Residency

VISUAL ARTIST

Michael is an artist and educator from Winnipeg. His artwork has been exhibited across Canada, and in the United States, Australia, Germany, and Ukraine. Michael has been an assistant professor at Mount Allison and Lakehead universities, head of education at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (Brandon), and head of the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Studio.

Residency project: Michael has been working on The Motorcycle Project for 50 years and will continue this work while in residence at the Deep Bay cabin. The drawings explore motorcycle culture, its component parts, history, and mythology.
