Artist Deadline for Directory: November 1
(for activity starting the following September)
This program enhances arts education in Manitoba schools by bringing together practising professional artists of all artistic disciplines with students and teachers (K-12).
Artists’ proposals are selected by juries of professional artists and arts educators. Selected artists and their projects are highlighted in the AIS Directory, which is sent annually in February to all Manitoba schools. Schools apply to the Short-Term Residency or the Long-Term Residency program of Council. The school must have contacted the artist prior to submitting the application.
Schools and other groups are eligible to apply for funding assistance to sponsor a reading by any published Canadian writer or illustrator.
